1) Wash it gently      
Silk is a natural fibre, and you need to be careful while washing it. Use cold water and detergent, and always air dry it after hand-washing. As a general rule, avoid hand-washing silk pieces in bright colours – opt for darker hues instead, so they don’t bleed onto each other.

As soon as you notice a stain, blot it with water using a clean cloth. If you don’t have time to wash it right away, spot cleaning will keep at least some of the stain from setting in.
